Carlton Rex Mosher

Obituary: Carlton Rex Mosher, 79, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Tucker Hospice House. Mr. Mosher was born April 5, 1934 in Freemont Michigan to the late F. Marvin Mosher and Caroline Curtice Mosher. Carlton was a member of the Concord 7th Day Adventist Church where he served as an elder, was a member of the choir, and he played the harmonica. He was a self-employed master carpenter; loved to fish, gardening, and feed and watch the birds. He was a great inventor where he was always coming up with new ideas. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Shirley Lichte Mosher; three children, Michael Mosher of Michigan, Kimberly Ingram of China Grove, and Mark Mosher and his wife, Teresa of Salisbury; four siblings, Gilbert Mosher, Marvin Mosher, James "Jim" Mosher, and Paula Tarbox; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 4:00 P.M. Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the Concord 7th Day Adventist Church with the Rev. John Earnhardt officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Whitley's Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Concord 7th Day Adventist Church, 2141 Hwy 49 N.
