Obituary: Carol Lou McLain Allman, 79, of Kannapolis passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at CMC-NorthEast. She was born July 24, 1934 in Rowan County, the daughter of the late Rufus Clate McLain and Gussie Lee Ramseur McLain. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Albert Allman in 1977. Carol had worked in the daycare business for over 30 years in the area. She was an avid Elvis fan and collector. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Ralph Robinette. Entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday at Whitley's. She is survived by three children, Richard Eugene Allman (Wanda) of China Grove, Donald Wayne Allman (Kathy) of Concord and Kathy Jo Allman Cress of Concord, 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a very special friend, Margaret Stackleather.
