Obituary: Carol Ann Smith Mills, 50 of Kannapolis, NC died unexpectedly at her home on Saturday morning, June 17, 2017. Carol was born on Aug. 23, 1966 in Suffolk, England a daughter of the late Ray Edward Smith and the late Joan Marie Rash Smith. Carol was a 1966 graduate of South Caldwell High School. She enjoyed "Letter Boxing" and loved participating in scrapbooking as a hobby. She last worked as an activity director at Bethany Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Service in Albemarle. Survivors include her husband, Roger Mills and a son, James Mills both of the home. She is also survived by two brothers; James Smith and wife, Peggy and Stephen Smith. A memorial service will take place at 5:00, p.m., Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Jerry Bentley.
