Jo Carol Oliver Quesinberry, 80, of Concord went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at her residence. Death was unexpected.
Carol was born November 15, 1942, in Chesterfield County, SC. A daughter of the late Elbert Jordan and Estelle Newsome Hurst Jordan. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Doris Ann Jordan and a brother Charles Jordan.
In early life Carol worked in retail sales and the school system in Iowa. Later she was executive assistant at Florida Power and Light Company and later retired from Cisco where she was an executive assistant. Carol loved to travel and take care of homeless animals.
A family viewing will take place at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Whitley’s Annex Chapel.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Carolina Memorial Park conducted by Pastor David Gulledge. Following the graveside service, the family will return to Whitley’s Funeral Home Annex Chapel where there will be a Celebration of Carol’s life at 3:00 P.M. A meal will be served following the Celebration of Life.
Family members left to cherish her memory include a daughter; Robin (Blake) Cannon of Kannapolis, a son, Timothy Mark Lunsford of Salisbury and a sister, Lynda (Mike) Koontz of Kannapolis. She is also survived by two grandchildren: MaShanna Ball of Kannapolis and Brittany (Nick) Lollis of Gold Hill.
