Carolyn (Evans) Corriher

Carolyn Evans Corriher, 82, of China Grove, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at home, following a period of declining health.

Born June 11, 1942, in Salisbury, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Alice Lowder Evans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Leon, Benny, Stanley, Jackie, Ronnie, Dwight, Harveo and Clyde Jr Evans; and a sister, Wanda Allen.

Mrs. Corriher was a wonderful and talented seamstress and cook, had been involved with Prevent Child Abuse Rowan and served in various roles with Shiloh Reformed Church. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Loving family members include her devoted husband of 65 years, Lanny Corriher; her children, Gaylena Cunningham, Scott Corriher (Nora) and Brent Corriher (Martha); grandchildren, Stephanie Markle, (Brad), Jeffrey Cunningham (Lauren), Kaitlin Casey (Jacob), Tyler Corriher (Chelsea), April Deerey (James); great-grandchildren, James, Reed, Jenna, Marley and Wells; her sisters, Sue Horton and Joy Earnhardt (Bill), sisters-in-law, Carol King and Sally Corriher, and extended family members.

The family will receive friends at Whitley’s Funeral Home Friday evening, July 26, 2024, 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am Saturday, July 27th, at Shiloh Reformed Church in Faith, conducted by Reverend Wayne Trexler.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family would like to thank all of the friends and family for the love and support during this time, and Hospice of Cabarrus for the love, care and kindness extended.
