Carolyn Fritts

Obituary: Carolyn Frances Fritts, 75, of Concord went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at CHC-Northeast Medical Center, Concord following period of declining health. Carolyn was born August 27, 1943 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of the late Hazel Lee Tucker and Bertie Thompson Tucker. She was also preceded in death by three brothers; Hazel Jr., Daniel and Perry. Family members left to cherish her memory include her husband of 53 years; Carlton "Carl" Fritts of the Home, two daughters; Paulette Fritts Austin of Locust, and Carla Downs and husband Andy of Concord, two brothers, Robert Tucker of Timpson, TX., and Lewis Tucker of Midland, one sister, Isabele Belangia of Manning, SC, and five grandchildren; Dylan Fritts, Will and Erin Downs, Carrie Walker and husband John, and Paula Belton and husband Patrick. Carolyn was a longtime member of Royal Oaks Baptist Church. She was primarily a homemaker but later in life she enjoyed working with special needs children. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Royal Oaks Baptist Church conducted by Andy Downs, her son-in-law. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Concord. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 P.M. until the time of the service. The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials in Carolyn's loving memory be made to Royal Oaks Baptist Church, 904 Texas Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
