Carolyn Janette Hyde

Obituary: Sherrills Ford- Carolyn "Janette" Hyde, 82, went to be with her Lord and savior Friday morning, June 7, 2019, from Sherrills Ford Hospice House. Born September 28, 1936 in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late John Emzlie and Mary Lee Medlin Cranford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father, Walter Roseman Nance; a daughter, Sharon Kay Hyde, and 3 sisters. Mrs. Hyde was a longtime, active member of Central Baptist Church, where she was involved with WMU, the food pantry, the choir, and always found the time to send special cards to other church members. Janette was an encouraging, loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and was the love that guided her family. Although in a much better place today, she will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Hyde was the loving mother of her children, Carolyn Denise Gourley (Troy), Sandy Hyde Moore (David) and Jimmy Hyde (Shelia); her grandchildren, Robert Shawn Gourley, Andrea Michelle Gourley Jarrard (James Daniel), Sarah Moore Smith (David), Stephen Moore, Randy, Elizabeth, Curtis, Kayla, Brittanie and Allisyn Hyde; her great grandchildren, Holly Raine Jarrard, Evangeline Rose Jarrard, Robert James, Rebecca Jeanne, Noah Jacob and Nathaniel Josiah Gourley, Tristan and Chase Smith, Lily, Colby and Carter Francis, Layton Hyde and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, June 12th from 5:00-7:00 pm at Central Baptist Church. Funeral services to remember and celebrate the life of Mrs. Hyde will begin at 7:00 pm in the church, conducted by Rev. Curtis Parker, Rev. Dean Hunter and Rev. Troy Gourley. A private burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park. For those who may prefer, memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Hyde's name to Sherrills Ford Hospice House, 7473 Sherrills Ford Road, Sherrills Ford, NC 28673, or to Central Baptist Church, 1810 Moose Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
