Carolyn Scott Manier

Obituary: Mrs. Carolyn Scott Manier, 66, formally of Kannapolis, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 after an extended illness. She was born January 27, 1951 in Cabarrus County to Clarence T. Davis and Martha Belk Davis. Carolyn had worked as a nurse at Carolina Health Care System North East and was Director of Nursing at Liberty Commons. After rasing her family she followed her lifelong dream and went back to school and received her PHD. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Walter J. "Tex " Manier. Family members left to cherish her memories include her sons, Tony Goins and wife Amanda of Pinnacle, N.C., Scott Goodman and wife Toni of Kannapolis, N.C. and her daughter Shane Manier of Kannapolis, N.C. along with three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A private celebration of life service will be held at a later date. The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Judes Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
