Carolyn Scott Roy

Carolyn Scott Roy of Kannapolis, NC, aged 85, went to be with the Lord on November 11, 2024. She was born on August 28, 1939 in Toccoa, GA to Ben and Alma Scott and was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School and the University of Tennessee.

 Carolyn knew the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and was a blessing to everyone who knew her. Her well-marked Bible speaks to a deep and abiding relationship with Him. She could always be counted on for the small jobs that held everything together such as classroom parties, field trips, and Cub Scout den mother. Though she had a brief career in real estate, her family affectionately remembers her gourmet quality meals and her devoted care for her children. She will be greatly missed.

 She is survived by her husband Carver, son Stu (Dianna), daughter Sarah, ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and sister Julia. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Stanley.

 Memorial services will be held Monday, November 18 at 11a.m. at Whitley's Funeral Home with receiving of friends after. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Multiply Church in Concord, NC.
