Obituary: Carolyn Stirewalt, 74, of China Grove, passed away, Friday, March 31, 2017 at her home after a long illness. She was born February 14, 1943 in Iredell Co. to the late Albert S. Hardeman and Wavie A. Wright Hardeman. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed gardening and flowers, and loved animals and her pets. Those left to cherish her memory, her husband Ronnie Stirewalt of 51 years, one son Michael Stirewalt, one daughter Krystal Horne and her husband David, and one grandson David Jackson. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, April 3 at Carolina Memorial Park with Pastor Dave Bitler officiating. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Sunday April 2, at Whitley's Funeral Home.
