Cathy Elaine Jones

Obituary: Cathy Elaine Jones, 55 of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Novant Health in Charlotte. Her death follows a period of declining health. Cathy was born on May 26, 1957 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of Morris R. Jones of Salisbury and the late Betty Mae Brown Jones. Cathy was a licensed cosmetologist and beautician and attended Cornerstone Many Nations Church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 1:30 PM at Whitley's Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy L. Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow at Brookhill Cemetery in Rockwell. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:00 to 1:30 PM prior to the services. In addition to her father, Cathy is survived by a daughter; Christie Lynn Sloop and her fiancé Josh Senk of Rockwell, a brother; Morris "Moses" Jones and his wife Dale of Kannapolis, and special friends; Betty Jean Corriher of Salisbury, and Cathy Petty of Rockwell.
