Cathy Marlowe

Obituary: Cathy Hunter Marlowe, 57, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 at her residence in Kannapolis. Cathy was born August 3, 1955 in Cabarrus County to the late Roy Thomas Hunter and Lena Caudill Hunter. She attended A.L. Brown High School, was a member of Faith Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. She was a kind, caring, and loving women. Survivors include her husband, Tommy Marlowe of the home; two daughters, Michelle Marlowe Harrington (Willie) of China Grove, and Marie Marlowe Reynolds (Erik) of Kannapolis; five grandchildren, Christopher Ray Marlowe, Andrea Jane Marlowe, Mackenzie Morgan, Lena Morgan,and Cameron Marlowe. One great grandchild, Pyper Rae Morgan; and three sisters, Judy Tucker of Kannapolis, Darlene Chavis of China Grove, and Robin Suggs of Kannapolis. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Christopher Thomas Marlowe; and a sister, Kimberly Hunter Black. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 1, 2013 at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. James Pauley officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 12:30-2:00 P.M. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Faith Baptist Church, 904 Chipola St. Kannapolis, NC 28083.
