Obituary: - Cathy Glenn McManus, age 63, gained her angel wings on Friday, November 6, 2015 at her home after a short period of declining health. She was born November 13, 1951 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of the late Harry Cates Glenn and Dorothy Elouise Carrouth Glenn. Cathy was a 1970 graduate of A.L. Brown High School and later at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. Cathy was retired from Carolinas Healthcare System-NorthEast, Concord, NC where she had worked for thirty years. She is fondly remembered for spending quality time with her family especially her grandchildren, Noah & Silas. Cathy was an amazing woman and had a special faith in her Lord & Saviour, Jesus Christ that she has passed down to her family. She loved to read many things and had a special interest in shopping with her daughter, Amanda. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Fisher Street Baptist Church, Concord, NC officiated by Rev. Joey Spry. Burial will follow at a later date. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday at the church prior to the service. Survivors include her husband, Adam B. McManus; two daughters, Amanda Wallace (Joel) and Nicole Brooks (Jeff), both of Concord, NC; one son, Richie McInnis of Cullowhee, NC; grandchildren, Noah & Silas Veleke and Madison Brooks; one brother, Jimmy Glenn of San Francisco, CA; and one sister, Sherri Little of Kannapolis, NC.
