Cathy Bare Snipes

Obituary: Kannapolis- Cathy Bare Snipes, 64, passed away Saturday evening, October 27, 2018, at her home, following a period of declining health. Cathy was born June 14, 1954 in Ashe County, a daughter of the late Grover Curtis Bare and Effie Edith Lambert Bare. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Lee Bare; a half brother, Eddie Lambert; nephew, Terry Lynn Bare. Cathy had worked in textiles most of her life. She enjoyed her family and friends, watching NASCAR and wrestling. Cathy also loved her pets T.T. and Mandy. A loving sister and friend of many, Cathy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Family members left to cherish and remember Cathy include her sister, Mary Bare Ivey; her brother, Tony Bare; and nieces, nephews and extended family. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am - 12:00 noon on Friday, November 2, 2018, at Whitley's Funeral Home. Funeral services to remember Cathy and celebrate her life will begin at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
