Obituary: Chandra Beam, age 26, died Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Davis Hospital, Statesville, NC. She was born January 5, 1984 in Iredell County, NC, the daughter of Bettina Deann Beam and James Randall Smith and, both of Kannapolis, NC. She was disabled after a bicycle accident at age 9 years of age. She was viewed by her family as a happy beautiful child who unfortunately suffered a serious accident in her life but is an angel now. The funeral service will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Chris Pethel. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service. Survivors in addition to parents include two brothers, Shane Beam and Shaun Beam & wife, Mallory, both of Kannapolis, NC; her grandfather, Richard Beam of Kannapolis, NC; her aunt, Tambra Brown of China Grove, NC; and her two uncles, Larry Beam of China Grove, NC and Richard Beam, Jr. of Cleveland, NC.
