Charlean Grandma Beanie Scott

Obituary: Charlean "Grandma Beanie" Raper Scott, 88, of China Grove passed away on September 29, 2016 at her home. She was born October 22, 1927 in Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Marshall and Adenia Beaver Raper. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Guy Scott, Jr. She was one of twenty siblings. Charlean had formerly worked at Bangle Brothers Hosiery Mill. She loved to cook for her family and enjoyed camping. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, October 2, 2016 at West Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 PM prior at Whitley's Funeral Home. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Scott (Judye) of Virginia Beach, Va., her daughter, Rickey Craft (Gary) of China Grove, two brothers, Horace " Chuck" Raper and Ronia Raper, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
