Obituary: Charles Franklin Allman, 71, died Saturday, September 08, 2012 at CMC Northeast Medical Center. Mr. Allman was born December 3, 1940 in Rowan County to the late James Franklin Allman and Thelma Wilcox Allman. Charles worked and retired after many years of service from Fieldcrest Cannon Mill; served in the U.S. Army; and he was a loving father to four children, grandfather, and great grandfather. Survivors include his four children, Tim (Tammy) Allman of Kannapolis, Eric (Buffy) Allman of China Grove, Chris Allman of Kannapolis, and Angela Stanford (Creg) of Kannapolis; nine grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and two sisters, Patricia Johnson and Peggy Bostian. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a granddaughter, Krista Stanford. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 10, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at Bethpage United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Whitley's Funeral Home.
Visitation: 4-6 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Whitley's Funeral Home.

Service: 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 10, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment: Bethpage United Methodist Church Cemetery.
