Charles Bostian

Obituary: Charles Dewitt Bostian, Sr., 87, of Mooresville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 3, 2017 at CHC-Northeast Medical Center, Concord. Death was unexpected. He was born August 20, 1929 in Rowan County, NC a son of the late Mitchell Dewitt Bostian and the late Dorothy Leazer Bostian. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Wensil and one sister. Charles had been employed at Cannon Mills, Plt. #4 slasher room, and later retired from Kannapolis Service following many years of service. He was a member of West Corinth Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and raising beef cattle. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 53 years; Carol Cross Bostian of the Home, two sons; Mitchell Bostian (Dale) of Kannapolis, and C.D. Bostian (Jean) of Mooresville, two daughters, Vickie Hardin (Wayne) of Kannapolis, and Star Atwell and the late Larry Atwell of Mooresville. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two sisters and six brothers. Funeral services will be 3:30 P.M. Friday, July 7, 2017 at West Corinth Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Robert Suttles, Pastor. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church for 2:00 P.M-3:30 P.M. prior to the service. At other times they will be at the residence. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Corinth Baptist Church, 120 Corinth Church Road, Mooresville, NC 28115.
