Charles Avery Clawson

Charles Avery Clawson, 83, of Kannapolis passed away, Thursday, August 24, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born April 21, 1940 in Rowan County to the late Raymond Dalton Clawson and Esther Lloyd Clawson.
Charles graduated in 1958 from Landis High School. Served two years in the U.S. Army. He served in various positions at Fieldcrest Cannon, and his love of the outside included tree work and community service. Charles was a member of North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church and loved his church family. His Christian faith was a big part of his life and the bible was his favorite book.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Bessie Ann Watkins, brother Paul Walton Clawson.
Those left to cherish his memory include, wife Louise W. Clawson; daughters Amy C. Williams (Stan), Wendi D. Clawson, two grandsons; Caleb Williams and Noah Williams (Rebekah), brother Wesley Clawson (Janice)
Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 2, 2023 at North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church with Rev. Joy Garman officiating, burial will be at a later date.
