Obituary: Mr. Charles Lewis Hileman, 81, of 2402 Brantley Road, Kannapolis died at Avante' of Concord on Wednesday, December 2, 2009. He was born in Cabarrus Co. on March 18, 1928, the son of the late Lewis L. Hileman and the late Lillian Mullinax Hileman. Mr. Hileman was employed with Duke Power Co., Kannapolis, for 27 yrs. until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Church of Christ, China Grove and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in post-World War II Japan. He was a member of Cannon Memorial Masonic Lodge #626 / Scottish Rite Bodies of Charlotte, & Oasis Temple. He was a past member of the Kannapolis Lions Club for a number of years and a graduate of Cannon High School. Survivors include his wife, Doris Daniel Hileman of the home. Two daughters; Anne H. Corriher & husband, Alan of China Grove and Jean H. Rothman & husband, Richard of Charlotte, NC. Also by three grandchildren; Suzanne C. White & husband, Derek of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Jason Corriher & wife, Kim of Athens, Ohio and Robert Lewis Rothman of Towson, MD The funeral service will be held at 3:00p.m. Sunday, December 6,2009 at Mt. Zion United Church of Christ in China Grove conducted by Rev. William C. Campbell. Burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park.
