Obituary: Charles V. Lackey, 71, of Waxhaw, NC formerly of Kannapolis died Monday, July 16, 2012 at CMC-Union in Monroe, NC following a period of declining health. A drop-in visitation will be held from 3-7:00 p.m. on Sunday Sept. 16, 2012 at 824 ANNE AVE. Waxhaw, NC 28173. Charles was born April 12, 1941 in Cabarrus County, NC son of the late Vester and Ruth Lackey. He is survived by his wife, Paula G. Lackey of the home, a daughter, Heileigh Thompson and son John Lackey. The family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 West Roosevelt Boulevard Monroe, NC 28110.
