Charles Ray Sherrill

Charles Ray Sherrill, 81 years old, of Concord, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 6, 2024.  Charles was born on December 1, 1942, in Rowan County to the late Lewis and Vera Turner Sherrill.

Charles retired from Litaker Electric as a longtime electrician.  Charles was a man of great faith.  He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church, where he was also a deacon and Sunday School teacher.  When he was not working, he loved to work in his yard and vegetable garden.

Besides being predeceased by his parents, he was predeceased by his three brothers, Paul “Wayne” Sherrill, Jesse “Buddy” Sherrill, and Harold Sherrill.  Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Tony Sherrill and Terry Sherrill; his daughter, Kathy Sherrill; his stepdaughter, Michelle Brumbelow; his six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024, at 2pm, officiated by Rev. James Strickland in the Whitley Funeral Home Chapel.
