Charles Lee Rimer

Obituary: Charles Lee Rimer, 83, of Kannapolis, NC died at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, NC on March 27, 2013. Charles was born on April 1, 1929 in Rowan County, the son of the late Otto Rimer and Ruth Miller Rimer. In addition to his parents Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen who died in 1985 and his sister, Helen Fisher who died in 2012. Charles was a veteran of WW-2 serving with the U.S. Army. He was a supervisor with Cannon Mills working for 46 years and was a proud member of the Kannapolis Fire Department for many years. He was a member of Organ Lutheran Church. The funeral service for Mr. Rimer will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Organ Lutheran Church in Salisbury conducted by Rev. Carlin Ours. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church parlor from 10-11:00 before the service. Survivors include a number of cousins.
