Charles Gibson Seaford

Charles Gibson Seaford, 75, of Kannapolis passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Atrium Health Cabarrus after a period of declining health.

A service to celebrate Charles’ life will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, November 10 at Whitley’s Funeral Chapel. Rev. Eddie Spencer will be officiating with military honors conducted by the US Army and the Cabarrus County Veterans Honor Guard. His family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM prior to the funeral.

Charles was born April 24, 1948, in Cabarrus Co., the son of the late Charles Boyd and Vassie Marie Honeycutt Seaford. Those who remain to cherish his memories include his wife of 55 years, Rebecca Smith Seaford; his daughter Natalie Jordan (Ed) of Faith; his son Bryan Seaford (Angie) of Fayetteville, GA; his grandchildren Jonathan Page (Elizabeth) of Concord; Stephen Page (Amanda) of Chester, VA; and Daniel Page (Allie) of Alexandria, VA; and Noah and Noelle Seaford of Fayetteville, GA. Charles’ great-grandchildren include Charles Page, Rebecca Page, Michael Page, Theodore Page, Tobias Page, and Ruthie Page. He is also survived by his brother William Seaford (Sharon) of Kannapolis.

Charles was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School and of Rowan Technical Institute. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served in the Vietnam War, was awarded a field commendation, and awarded the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster. He was a lifelong follower of Christ and long-serving elder in the Presbyterian church. Charles worked for Diebold, Inc. as a regional service manager for 32 years until retiring on disability.  Charles enjoyed camping, boating, skiing, and fellowship with family and friends. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He will be dearly missed.
