Charles Herbert Shoe

Obituary: Charles Herbert Shoe, 86, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Tucker Hospice House following a sudden illness. Charles was born August 23, 1928 in Rowan County, NC a son of the late Clarence Jethro and Margaret Alma Snider Shoe. Charles was employed by Cannon Mills in the sewing room, retiring with 43 years of service. He was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church and a veteran of the US Army serving in Korea where he received the Purple Heart. He was a member of Allen-Graham Lodge #695 AF&AM, Scottish Rite and Oasis Shrine. Charles was known as an accomplished woodworker and craftsman. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park with military graveside rites conducted by the Cabarrus County Honor Guard and Masonic graveside rites conducted by Allen-Graham Masonic Lodge. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 A.M.-1:00 P.M. prior to the service. At other times they will be at the residence. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Marie Pless Shoe on April 7, 2012 and two brothers, Clarence J. Shoe, Jr. and Robert Lee Shoe. Survivors include one daughter, Suzan Shoe Rodgers (Jeff) of Concord, one grandson, Adam Bost (Autumn) of Concord, one great grandchild Anderson Bost of Concord, and one foster brother, Richard E.
