Charles Williams

Obituary: Charles Roy Williams, 66, of Kannapolis, North Carolina, passed away Friday, March 9th, 2018. He was born May 22nd, 1951 to the late Roy Farthing and Jean Clawson Williams in Boone, North Carolina. On May 20, 1978 he married Patsy Seaford of Concord, North Carolina. Charlie enjoyed woodworking, electronics, and mechanical work, as well as attending concerts and being outdoors. He could be found working with his hands to build, repair, and restore different projects around the house and garden - anything from antique furniture to a motorcycle to farm equipment. Charlie never met a project he was afraid to tackle. He sought to teach those around him to be thankful for the small things. A dedicated father and husband, his absence will leave a tremendous void for those close to him. He is survived by his wife Patsy Williams of 39 years, his son Gregory Williams of Arden, his brother Frank David Williams and wife Faye of Boone, nephew Wesley Williams, and niece Karen Williams. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, Terry Seaford and wife Trena, and nephews Matthew Seaford and Brian Seaford. A service in dedication to Charlie's life will be held Tuesday at 2pm at the chapel of Whitley's funeral home. Whitley's is located at 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm before the service. A brief graveside service will also be held at Carolina Memorial Park immediately thereafter.
