Charley Gregory Hoffman, 78, of China Grove, went into his heavenly home on Saturday, April 16, 2022.
Charley was born on July 4, 1943 in Rowan County to the late Howard Hoffman and Mary Sutton Hoffman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rev. Gary Hoffman.
Charley honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked as a plumber for 23 years for Cannon Mills. He also sold Towncraft Cookware for over 35 years. Charley was a faithful and longtime member of Landis Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 60 years, Judy H. Hoffman; his twin sister, Gayle Tucker; nephew, David Hoffman, and two ladies who were adopted in his heart, Lisa Burgess and Marcy Robbins.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022 at Landis Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. at Landis Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Austin and Rev. David Harrison officiating. A committal service will follow and begin at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2022 at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, NC with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Charley’s name may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
