Charlie Fred Scoggins

Charlie Fred Scoggins, 83, of Kannapolis, met his Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 26, 2025. He was born on December 15, 1941, to the late Eugene L. Scoggins and Ellie Lou Collins Scoggins in Madison County, GA.

Charlie married Lynda Lou Parker on April 4, 1965. She preceded him in death in 2018.

Charlie was raised in GA and graduated from Bowman High School in Elbert County, Georgia. Charlie worked as an automotive mechanic at LaPointe Chevrolet/Park Chevrolet- Charlotte for over 30 years.

Charlie enjoyed fishing, especially at Southport Beach. He was a master wood craftsman. He loved using cedar. There was nothing he could not fix. Charlie was the kind of person that would do anything for you. He would give you the shirt off his back. His hands and ears were always open. He lived life to the fullest. He loved his family dearly.

Those to cherish his memory include his siblings, Madeline E. Carroll, Paul A. Scoggins, Lynda S. McDaniel and Timothy K. Scoggins (Donna T. Scoggins); 15 nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynda Lou Scoggins; his three brothers, A. Jackson Scoggins, Robert L. Scoggins and Ronnie M. Scoggins; his nephew, Glenn E. Ferguson and his niece, Amber Jo Scoggins.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 2515 E Innes St, Salisbury, NC 28146, from 12:00 PM Noon until the time of service. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM with Pastor Phillip Johnston officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to Abounding Grace.
