Obituary: Charlie Wilson Stegall, 69, of Lexington, formerly of Kannapolis passed away August 12, 2018 at Novant Rowan Medical Center. He was born August 19, 1948 in Union County, a son of the late Charlie Marvin Stegall and Lavonia Helms Stegall. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Wayne, Max and Gary. Wilson was former owner of TV Workshop in Kannapolis for over 35 years, he then worked for the NC Dept. of Corrections for 8 years. Wilson was a veteran of the US Marines Corps serving in the Vietnam War where he was awarded a purple heart. He was a member of the American Legion. Wilson was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Faith, NC He was a strong, devoted Christian and was very involved with his church. He had been involved with visitations, former Sunday school teacher and director, former deacon, as well as other church ministries even as his health failed with Parkinson's disease. Wilson also loved to piddle with everything, in his yard, in his shop, always staying busy. He also loved playing horseshoes. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church, Faith, NC officiated by Rev. Tim Barnette and Rev. Roger Head. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 prior at the church. Burial will take place at 9:00 AM Thursday at the National Cemetery in Salisbury with military honors by the US Marine Corps. Wilson is survived by his wife of 37 years, Debbie Sherrill Stegall, two sons James Daniel Stegall (Cindy) of Rockwell, Justin Leigh Stegall (Brittany) of Lexington, 9 grandchildren, Brittany Griffin, Hannah Stegall, David Griffin, Benjamin Stegall, Kathie Anderson, James Anderson, Dannie-Lei Stegall, Wyatt Stegall, Charlie Stegall, 3 sisters, Peggy Weast, Christine Eudy (Bobby) and Barbara Slawson (Hugh).
