Obituary: Christopher Wade James, 52 of Kannapolis, NC passed away at Levin & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC on Saturday, October 21, 2017. Mr. James was born on July 10, 1965 in Cabarrus Co., a son of the late Harlan Earl James and the late Betty M. James. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Mark A. James. Chris was a lifelong resident of Cabarrus and Rowan Counties. He was most recently employed by Hanger, Inc. where he was a patient advocate - speaking to patients about losing limbs and life afterword's. He also volunteered with the CMC Trauma Survivors Network. In speaking with some of his acquaintances his words were always inspirational and encouraging. Chris is survived by his wife; Lori James, children; Chris Lynn James and wife, Brittany Hall, Mandi J. Hill and husband Joey Hill, grandchildren; Madison Hill, Andrew James, JP Hill and Jessie Marie Hill. Brothers; Joseph Scott James, Jimmy Earl James and Audra James, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews as well as lifelong friends and co-workers. A memorial service will take place at 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 27th at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Sherman officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. before the service at Whitley's. Memorials can be left to: Levin & Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Dr., Huntersville, NC 28078.
Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday October 27, 2017 Whitley's Funeral Home.

Service: 7:00 p.m., Friday October 27, 2017 Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel.
