Obituary: Kannapolis, NC Christopher L. Jones, 64, of Kannapolis, NC died suddenly at his home Monday, June 6, 2018. Chris was born on March 20, 1954 in Cabarrus Co., son of Alex Christopher Jones and Rachel Doll Almond. He was raised in Mt. Pleasant, NC and was a Sgt. in the US Air Force. Chris was a truck driver for 35 years. Survivors include his loving wife Karen Jones of the home. His son, Donald Smith of Mt. Pleasant, four grandchildren, a sister, Carol Denis McAnaulty of Rockwell and a brother, Douglas Jones of Hartsville, SC. Services are pending and will be announced at a later date for Mr. Jones.
