Obituary: Christopher "Todd" Rumple, 48, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, December 4, 2016 at his home. Born May 10, 1968 in Cabarrus County, he was a son of Gregory Lee Rumple and Patsy Ann Lambert Rumple. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Rev. Charlie Davis. Todd was a talented, self-employed metal fabricator, who could build anything. A very kind hearted man, he was a devoted and loving husband, son, father and grandfather. He enjoyed music and was a wonderful papaw to his grandbabies. Above all, Todd loved his family, who were his life. Gone too soon, Todd will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm Saturday, December 10th, at Whitley's Funeral Home. Memorial services to remember and celebrate Todd's life will begin at 2:00 pm at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Pastor Keith Bost. Family members left to cherish Todd's memory include his wife of 27 years, Susan Pless Rumple; his sons Zachary Todd Rumple (Haleigh) and Brandon Lee Rumple (Tasha); his mother Patsy Lambert Davis, brother Chad Alain Rumple; his grandchildren McKenna Lee Rumple and Braxton Todd Rumple; uncles Jerry Wayne and David Lee Lambert; mother and father-in-law Judy and Gary Pless; sister-in-law Teresa Ballard (Eric) and his brother-in-law Michael Pless (Tiffany).
