Obituary: Kannapolis, NC- Clara Mae Bost Watt, age 59, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, NC after suffering a short period with pancreatic cancer. She was born October 27, 1956 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of the late Joe Colin Bost, Sr. and Doris Jean Hagler Bost. Clara was a 1975 graduate of South Rowan High School. Clara was employed as an intimate supervisor at Kohl's in Kannapolis, NC where she had worked for several years. An active member of Gospel Lighthouse Church, she helped with the Awana & youth programs of the church. Her family fondly remembers her love of flowers and going to the beach with family and friends. She also liked working around the farm especially the baby cows and other farm animals. The funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Gospel Lighthouse Church, 435 Concordia Road, China Grove, NC officiated by Revs. Joel Ervin, Roger Bostic, and Joey Spry. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC, The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM Sunday at the church prior to the service. The family will be at the residence the remainder of the time. Survivors include her husband of thirty-seven years, Michael E. Watt; two sons, Brian M. Watt & wife, Krista of Salisbury, NC; and one granddaughter, Taylor Myers; and Gary E. Watt & wife, Amber of Kannapolis, NC; siblings, Kenneth & Judy Hagler of Wilmington, NC; Hazel Bostic & Rev. Roger Bostic of Landis, NC; Rebecca James & Ricky Lee James and Eva Kyle & Ricky Kyle, both of China Grove, NC; and Joe & Barbara Bost of Kannapolis, NC; seven nieces; two nephews; five great-nieces; and eight great-nephews.
