Clarence William "Jack" Gadd, Jr.

Obituary: Clarence William "Jack" Gadd, Jr., 82, of Kannapolis passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015 . He was born September 24, 1932 in Cabarrus County, the son of the late Clarence W. Gadd, Sr. and Viola Eagle Gadd. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Coley. Jack was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War. He retired from Southland Rebuilding, Charlotte as a Parts Manager. He was a member of Crown Pointe Baptist Church. He loved flying remote controlled airplanes and woodworking. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel officiated by Rev. Gene Beaver. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:30 PM Sunday prior at Whitley's Annex Chapel. He is survived by his wife, Betty Hamm Gadd, three sons, Ronnie Gadd (Susan) of Concord, Roger Gadd (Michelle) of Concord and Nolan Gadd (Heather) of Mt. Pleasant, grandchildren, Casey, Sam, Ross, Madeline, Olivia, Jessie, Avery and Josh, great grandchild, Xavier, and his sister, Frances Morris (Gene) of Concord.
