Obituary: Clarence Rogers Kizziah, 88, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012 at North Carolina State Veterans Home in Salisbury. Mr. Kizziah was born December 24, 1923 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina to the late Clarence Robert Kizziah and Lessie Mae Rogers Kizziah. He retired after 33 years of service as an electrician from the W.G. Heffner Veterans Hospital; he was a member of Rock Grove United Methodist Church, and a member of "Our Gang" Senior Group. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Billie B. Kizziah of the home; two sons, Oliver Kizziah and his wife, Rita of Rockwell and Tim Kizziah and his wife, Sandy of Salisbury; Five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Clarence was preceded in death by a son, Alvin Rogers Kizziah who died August 1, 2011. A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00-1:45 p.m. prior at Whitley's Funeral Home.
