Clarence Lazenby

Obituary: Clarence (C.A.) Lazenby, 65 of China Grove, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 following a two month illness. C.A. was born on January 9, 1947 in Rowan County, NC, a son of the late Spencer Lazenby and the late Helen Stirewalt Lazenby Clampet. Funeral services for Mr. Lazenby will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel with Pastor Jeff Simpson officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the services on Sunday from 12:30 to 2:00 PM in the Annex Chapel. He was formerly employed by Cannon Mills as a finisher and most recently was employed by UNC-Charlotte. He was a member of Kannapolis Moose Lodge and Kannapolis VFW Post #8989. CA enjoyed fishing, auto racing and especially liked watching football. He is survived by his wife, Janice Ross Lazenby, a daughter, Mary Helen Flowers and husband Daniel, and a grandson, Terry Ritz all of the residence, and a brother Will Lazenby and wife Wynemia.
