Clarence Franklin (Frank) Chapman

Clarence Franklin (Frank) Chapman Jr., 78, of Locust passed away June 14, 2022 at  Atrium Health Cabarrus. He was born August 13, 1943 in Rowan County, a son of the late Clarence Franklin Chapman, Sr. and Ivetus Thompson Chapman.

Frank retired from being a salesman for various welding supply companies over his lifetime. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Fairview, NC. Frank loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also loved to fish and play golf in his earlier years.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Carolina Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Dale Brooks. His family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.

Frank is survived by his wife, Brenda, daughter, Dawne Stafford (Raymond), son, Scott Chapman (Denise), 5 grandchildren, Hunter Chapman, Jessica Stafford, Kayla Chapman, Kristen Stafford, Hannah Stafford, 3 great grandchildren, Raelynn, Kyleigh, Ryleigh and his brother Ronnie Chapman (Barbara).

Memorials may be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.
