Claudia Jane Little Martin

Obituary: Claudia Jane Little Martin, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at her home after a period of declining health. She was born May 13, 1931 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of the late Claude B. Little and Grace Kiser Little. Jane was employed with the former Cannon Mills Company, Plant One having work in both the # 1 Weave Room and later the Cutting Room. She was a member of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, Kannapolis, NC. Her family fondly remembers her as a very loving mother and grandmother. She also enjoyed planting flowers in her yard when she could. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Henry S. Martin; and her brother, Howard R. (Buck) Little. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Debra Madden. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service. Survivors include her daughter, Priscilla Earnhardt & husband, Randy of Kannapolis; a son, Gary Wayne Martin of Landis, NC; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; one brother, Danny Little of Kannapolis, NC; and four sisters, Louise McQuay, Barbara Suggs, and Gail Anderson, all of Kannapolis, NC; and Helen Sherrill of Mooresville, NC. Service: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment: Carolina Memorial Park.
