Claudine Terry Tucker

Obituary: Claudine Terry Tucker, 73, of Kannapolis passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016 at her home. She was born June 8, 1943 in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late J.D. and Ressie Mills Terry. She was preceded in death by a sister, Loree Clark. Claudine had formerly worked as a supervisor of Environmental Services at the former Cabarrus Memorial Hospital, now CMC-NorthEast for 16 years retiring due to ill health. She was a member of West A Tabernacle Baptist Church. She was an artist, liked to work with wood, enjoyed fishing, going to the lake and just being in the outdoors. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Rodney Efird and Rev. Mike Austin. The family will receive friends prior from 2:00 to 3:30 PM Sunday at Whitley's. Burial will be at the National Cemetery on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 1:00 PM. She is survived by her husband, Joseph E. Tucker, whom she married June 12, 1959, her son, Danny Joe Tucker (Tammy) , her daughter, Kandy T. Burney (Mike), grandchildren, Brandon Payne, Nicholas Tucker, Keeli Tucker, great grandchild, Christopher Gilliam, brother, Glenn Terry (Beverly), two sisters, Patricia Collins (Paul) and Evangeline Litton (Kavin).
