Obituary: Clyde Wilson Demby, 77, of Kannapolis, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at his home. He was born January 2, 1941 in Chesterfield Co. SC, to the late Woodrow Demby and Maudie Price Elliott. Clyde was the owner of Demby's Used Cars, starting in 1979, he enjoyed being outdoors, especially on the water. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Bradley, two nephews Reese Bradley Jr., and Aaron Thad Bradley. Those left to cherish his memory, his wife of 40 years, Paulette Olivi Demby, four daughters, Terry Crump of Anderson, SC, Cathy Riggins of Titusville, FL, Bonnie Self of Virginia Beach, VA, Natalie Alley of Concord, 12 grandchildren; Christie Morley, Cameron Crump, Samuel Query, Shelley Linker, Nathan Query, Julie Holcomb, Amy Beninati, Jared Beninati, Kenan Beninati, Hunter Alley, Nicholas Alley, Nicole Alley, and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, January 11th at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joe Smith and Hunter Alley officiating. A visitation will be one hour prior from 11:00 to 12:00 PM at Whitley's Funeral Home. The family would like to thank Hospice of Cabarrus Co. for their loving care of Clyde.
