Cody Christopher Owings

Cody Christopher Owings, 20, of China Grove passed away December 7, 2020. He was born September 6, 2000 in Cabarrus County, a son of Richard Chris Owings and Tammy Hedrick Owings. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Betty and Bobby Thomas and Charles Hedrick.

Cody loved restoring, working on and racing cars and motorcycles. He loved listening to and writing music.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 12, 2020 at The Brook, 2290 Highway 29 S. China Grove, NC officiated by PawPaw Bob Harvey and Pastor Matt Oakley. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. His family will greet friends prior from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the church.

Cody is survived by his father, Chris Owings and wife, Wendy, mother, Tammy Owings and fiancé, Mark Dalton, sister, Sarah Elizabeth Owings, grandparents, Gail Harvey and husband, PawPaw Bob, Rick and Helen Owings, step brother Cameron Johnson and step sister, Alexis Johnson.
