Colleen (Wall) Childers

Colleen Wall Childers, 93, of Kannapolis passed away at her son’s home in Georgia on Sunday, December 5, 2021. She was born November 17, 1928 in Kannapolis, a daughter of the late James Wall and Mabel Bostian Wall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Childers and her daughter, Joy Childers Belk.

Colleen had retired from Analytical Testing Consultants in Kannapolis after many years. She was a member of Jackson Park Methodist Church.  Colleen enjoyed cooking for everyone.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Sandy Yow. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. Her family will greet friends prior from 12 to 1.

Colleen is survived by her son, Kent Childers and wife, Vickie of Covington, Ga., sisters, Audre Yates of Florida and Helen Holshouser of Kannapolis.
