Colton Lee Starnes

Colton Lee Starnes, 28, of Salisbury  passed away on Sunday June 25, 2023 at his home.

He was born July 15, 1994 to the late Linda Joyce Burden Starnes and Richard Starnes.

Colton was a 2012 graduate of East Rowan High school. He was full of adventure and fearless. He loved riding his dirt bike, playing video games with his children and “online squad”, and most importantly he loved being a family man and enjoying anything and everything that involved his loving wife and children. He was full of random knowledge and had answers for just about anything. A genuine soul and a kind person that would give the shirt off his back to anyone. A country boy with a heart of gold.

Colton married his highschool sweetheart Brittany and they had two beautiful children together, Emaleigh and Elijah. He loved his family with everything in him and was a wonderful husband and father.

Those left to Cherish his memory, his loving wife of 12 years, Brittany Petrea Starnes, his two beautiful children Emaleigh Cheyenne Starnes, Elijah Cole Starnes, his father Richard Lee Starnes, sister Jennifer Lynn Starnes and niece Montana Joyce Purdue.

He was preceded in death by his mother Linda Joyce Starnes and step mother Donna Styers Starnes.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Bostic officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
