Connie Marie (Rogers) Duffell

Connie Marie Rogers Duffell, 72, of Concord, is now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, The Christ, Friday, August 12, 2022 after a period of declining health. Born January 12, 1950 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late John Rogers and Aileen Kiker Barringer.

During her working years, she was an Administration Clerk for Duke Energy and previously at AT&T.

She will be dearly missed and her memory will be forever cherished by those she leaves behind including her husband, Melvin Duffell; sons, D. Mitchell Phillips of Charlotte, and Phillip Ray Duffell of Salisbury; a daughter, Melba Duffell McKinney of Concord; three grandchildren, Jasmine Meggison, Shawn Thurston and Cailey Duffell; two brothers, Ronnie Rogers (Gail) and Rick Rogers; a sister in - law, Maria Hughes (Randy); a brother in - law, Tim Duffell (Trudy); and nieces and nephews.

An informal graveside service to honor Connie's life will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Carolina Memorial Park, where there will be moments of reflection. The family will receive friends Monday, August 15, 2022 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis. This will be an informal gathering as well.
