Connor Bentley Landreth

Obituary: - Connor Bentley Landreth, age 75, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Conover Nursing & Rehabilitative Center, Conover, NC after a period of declining health. He was born March 14, 1939 in Greenville, SC, the son of the late James M. Landreth and Ida Lou Buff Landreth. The eighth of nine children, he enjoyed his family and was close to all throughout his life. He also enjoyed meeting people, whether through his job as a textile parts salesman or in his church congregation. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and music particularly Southern Gospel. In addition to his parents Connor is preceded in death by his first wife, Gail Ramsey Landreth; and his brothers, Evan, David, and John. The funeral service will be held at 12:30 P.M. Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Kannapolis West A Street Church of God, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Dr. Greg Sloop, Rev. Sam Crisp, and Rev. Loran Livingston. A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Catawba Memorial Park, Conover, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm on Wednesday at the church prior to the service. His is survived by his wife, Judy Church Landreth; his children, Jim (Janice) Landreth; Judy (Pat) Palmquist; Connie (Tommy) James; and Dana (Don) Horton; his grandchildren, John Adam (Lauren) Landreth, Olivia Palmquist, Michael James, Lindsey Palmquist, Connor James, Ryan James, and Garret Horton; his step-children, Donnie (Lori) Hall and Lorie (Michael) Lingerfelt; and their children, Alex and Parker Lingerfelt; and Morgan and Gracie Hall; two brothers, Elbert Landreth and Tom Landreth; and three sisters, Ruth Madden, Frances Owens, and Linda Landreth; and a large extended family and network of friends.
