Coralia “Irma” Sanchez

Coralia “Irma” Sanchez, 91, of Salisbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19, 2024.

Irma was born on February 21, 1933 in El Salvador. She was a cherished daughter of the late Manuel Zelayadia and Emilia Sanchez. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Sanchez and sister, Dora Alicia Sanchez.

 Irma was a lover of crossword puzzles and sudoku. She had a sharp mind and a passion for cooking and baking. Irma was known for her amazing smoothies, freshly baked bread, and delicious meals that brought joy to all who were lucky enough to enjoy them.

Dedicated to staying active, Irma walked over a mile every day, embracing a healthy lifestyle. Her kindness, warmth, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Ricardo Rosales, Rosa De Miranda, and Gloria Del Socorro; Siblings, Margarita Sanchez and Francisco Sanchez; she was also blessed with 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm- 9:00pm on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Whitley’s Funeral home. Funeral mass will be held the following day at 10:00 am Monday, December 23 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Kannapolis. Interment will immediately follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
