Corrine Thomas Hardy

Obituary: Corrine Thomas Hardy, 84, of Kannapolis devoted mother and friend, went to be with her Lord on Dec. 30, 2009 from Liberty Commons in Salisbury. She had been in declining health the last three years and seriously ill 1 month. She was born March 23, 1925 in Talmao, Georgia, the daughter of the late John Emory Thomas and the late Lillie Mae Fuller Thomas. She was also preceded by her husband Joseph Taylor Hardy in 1975 and two children, Steven Taylor Hardy and Reba Jo Hardy. She was an avid gardener, especially having a green thumb with everything she planted. A graveside service will be 2:30 Saturday Jan. 2, 2010 at Carolina Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Chris O'Guinn. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Saturday at Whitley's Funeral Home. She is survived by 3 children: John Hardy of Conroe, Tx., Kenneth Hardy and Hugh Hardy both of Kannapolis, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren , 2 sisters: Bobbie Jean Carter of China Grove and Betty Nell Loukos of Charlotte Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Assoc. 3420 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28218.
