Obituary: Coy Alexander Little, 91, of Landis passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018. He was born November 22, 1926 in Union County, a son of the late Luther Alexander Little and Lillian Eudy Little. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin Gather Little and Leon Little, two sisters, Marie Little and Ruth Martin. Coy had worked in Cannon Mills for 25 years as a weaver. He also had been a building contractor for many years as well as co-owning various mobile home parks and rental houses with his lifelong friends and business partners, Bob and Gail Phillips. Coy was a member of Landis Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in WW II as an MP. Coy was an avid antique collector and refinisher. Coy enjoyed fishing, especially at his home at Lake Norman and later at High Rock Lake, as well as fishing trips with his sons to Kure Beach. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Richie Honeycutt. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park with military honors by the Cabarrus Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 PM prior at Whitley's. At other times the family will be at his son's home, Steve Little, 603 Breckenridge Rd., Kannapolis. Coy is survived by two sons, Kenneth Little (Judy), Steve Little (Lisa), grandchildren, Sharron Little, Alex Little, Zach Little (Candice), Shannon Glenn (Brandon), great grandchildren, Tanner Little, Autumn Little, Tenley Little, Riley Glenn, Brody Glenn, two brothers, John Little and Wayne Little, three sisters, Lois Tucker, Ann Barbee, Pattie Kiker and longtime companion, Phyllis Morrow. A special thanks to all the caring staff at Caremoor, especially the Carriage House staff for the excellent care given to our Dad during his stay there and also to the staff and nurses from Hospice of Cabarrus County.
