Obituary: CSM Lloyd Larmore, Ret., 68, of Taylorsville, passed away Monday June 15, 2015 at the Veterans Hospital in Salisbury, North Carolina after a long illness. Lloyd was born August 5, 1946 in Flint Michigan. He served the United States Army for 16 years on active duty and 14 years in the reserves. He taught seventh and eighth grade science for 19 years in Aransas Pass, Texas. Lloyd is survived by his wife, Danise and three children, Adam Larmore and wife Katie of Taylorsville, Amy Hnat and her husband Andy of Raleigh and Jason Larmore and wife Yogi of Conway, AR. Lloyd and Danise have 11 grandchildren. Lloyd is survived by 8 siblings: Ethel Brock of Wilkesboro, N.C., Robert and wife Phyllis of McKee, Ky., June Prough of Fayetteville, N.C., Johnnie of Eminence, Mo., Lee and wife Joanne of Hildebran, N.C., Bill and wife Jan of Springfield, Mo., Sherry Eakins of Eminence, Mo., Francine and husband Ted Smith of Doniphan, Mo. Lloyd has 4 half siblings: Kevin of Doniphan, Mo., Kathy and husband Cliff Davis of Pocahontas, Ar., Karlton and wife Becky of Ky., and Kyle of Doniphan, Mo. Lloyd was a member of First United Methodist Church of Taylorsville, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday June 19, 2015, with Rev. Josh Sherfey officiating. A reception will follow where the family will receive friends and guests. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are to be given to First United Methodist Church, Taylorsville or to any Veterans organization that trains service dogs to help wounded veterans. Burial for Lloyd will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington Va. On line condolences may be left at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com
