Obituary: Curtis Alexander Robinson Sr., 68 of Landis, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 20, 2012. He was at his residence. His death follows an extended illness. Curtis was born on September 11, 1943 in Iredell County, a son of the late Minnie Parker and Lawrence Alexander Robinson Sr. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by five brothers; Edgar, Raymond, Bennie, William (Doodle), and Lawrence A. Robinson Jr. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 22, 2012, at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel with Rev. Mike Edwards officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday April 24, 2012 at Salisbury National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday prior to services in Whitley's annex chapel. Mr. Robinson was a retired manufacturing engineer, and a veteran of the US Navy. He was a true man of God and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his spouse, Brenda Stamey Robinson, a daughter, Angela R. Griffin and husband Ricky of Mooresville, two sons, Marty A. Robinson and wife Vanny of FL., and Curtis A. Robinson Jr. and wife Doreen of Mooresville, eight grandchildren, Christopher A. Robinson and wife Angela of FL., Joshua A., Michael A., and Kevin A. Griffin, all of Mooresville, Amanda R. Riggenbach and husband Paul of FL., Nicholas A., Valli, and Alexandria (Allie) Robinson all of FL., two great grandchildren, Landon M. Griffin, and Cameron A.
